I'd recommend taking the courses in this order:

• How to Think Like the Engine
• How to Use the First Responder Kit
• Fundamentals of Index Tuning
• Fundamentals of Query Tuning
• Fundamentals of Server Tuning
• Mastering Index Tuning
• Mastering Query Tuning
• Mastering Server Tuning

I know it's really tempting to jump around, but they do build on each other. For example, in Mastering Server Tuning, we assume that you already mastered index and query tuning, because you'll be using those techniques to solve problems we find in that MST class.
